Travel to Yacumama Tambopata Ecolodge
Peru’s Tambopata National Reserve is located in the southeast of the country, wedged between the forested Madre de Dios and Puno regions, around 70 kilometers from the jungle town of Puerto Maldonado, which can be reached from the city of Cusco via a half-hour scheduled flight, or by road (approximately 12 hours by bus).
The airlines LATAM, Avianca and Star Peru offer daily flights from Lima or Cusco to Puerto Maldonado that arrive in plenty of time for our guests to catch one of our boats to the Ecolodge.

Upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado, a taxi will go in search of you to the airport and you will have a sign with you name on it.

Transfers from the office Puerto Maldonado - Yacumama Tambopata Ecolodge
As part of the itineraries we offer, we provide daily transfers from 12:00 to 13:30, for those guests arriving on LATAM, Avianca and Star Peru flights from Cusco and Lima. Guests who plan to arrive in Puerto Maldonado after these times should arrange to spend the night in our Tambopata Amazon Hostel office and begin their Yacumama Tambopata Ecolodge itinerary the following day with our daily transfer to the lodge.
All our itineraries begin with the transfer to the Ecolodge. For reasons of safety, transfers cannot be provided after 16:00. (*)
Transfers Yacumama Tambopata Ecolodge - office Puerto Maldonado
As part of the itineraries we offer, we provide daily transfers from 7:30 and 8:30 from the Ecolodge to the airport at Puerto Maldonado. We therefore recommend return flights from Puerto Maldonado departing between 11:00 and 13:30.
Those guests departing on later flights should remember that they will be required to wait in the airport for their departure or spend time in the town of Puerto Maldonado from the time they are transferred by the company from the Ecolodge to the local airport.
